Liverpool chief Christian Purslow has dismissed claims Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard will be sold if they fail to finish in the top four this season.
Purslow, a fluent Spanish speak, told AS that Liverpool "are not a selling club".
"It is not fair, it's ridiculous to say that," said Purslow. "We pay salaries and transfers at the level of the top four in the league. And that's the level I hope to continue at.
"We will be in the Champions League, for sure.
"We are not a selling club. That's for certain."
